3.1.4 Reflect
A Reflect of how technology integration models may have improved my understanding of how technology can impact learning at different levels.
Researchers have determined that technology integration typically moves through specific levels. the higher the level of an activity the greater the educational benefit. The two models i have acquired are TPACK and SAMR. these tow are all abbreviations
TPACK in full is Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge. It is an intersection of four know ledges
The key to successful technology integration is the efficient use of digital tools. technology provides us with the ability to our own toolkit of flexible resources for use when need. Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge is a framework to understand and describe the kinds of knowledge needed by a teacher for effective pedagogical practice in a technology enhanced learning environment." I have learnt that teaching need to be spiced up for the good of the learners understanding.
technological is the best way to beef up teaching using its tools and resources. Pedagogical content knowledge is a type of knowledge that is unique to teachers, and is based on the manner in which teachers relate their pedagogical knowledge (what they know about teaching) to their subject matter knowledge (what they know about what they teach). It is the integration or the synthesis of teachers' pedagogical knowledge and their subject matter knowledge that comprises pedagogical content knowledge.
The second model is the SMAR
This model is a useful tool for helping us to think about our own teaching as we begin to make
small shifts in the design and implementation of technology driven learning experience to achieve
the next level.
SMAR in full is Substitution, Modification, Augmentation, and Redefinition.
The teacher in the substitution and augmentation use technology to accomplish the traditional task. for example using a smart board instead of a blackboard, and other technology tools. At the modification and redefinition level the task changes.
All in all, technology integration is the key to the modern 21st century teaching.
